Again, I’ve been meaning to blog all week but just could not focus enough to actually do that. It was a crazy busy week which included my first business trip to the always fabulous Shelbyville, IN – home of the Cow Palace.

Earlier in this week (Monday to be exact), I was sitting in my cube with Twitter up on my screen (which is not abnormal). I sat down with my Grande Starbucks and looked up and saw a tweet from my morning show, “Toohey and Fee” to tweet if you’d like to join them in the Social Suite – which of course, I’ve blogged about before. A tweet later and a direct message and I won two tickets to join Allan Fee in the Social Suite Tuesday night.

I absolutely love the Social Suite (and am mayor) but the thing I loved the most about Tuesday night was the group that came out and joined Allan. First of all, Alan is hilarious and a blast himself. Throw in some fellow tweeters, including blogger Poise in Parma, beer and food thanks to Allan, it was bound to be a wonderful night.

Yes, the Indians lost. But we got to watch the game in style, including the awesome lightning storm that was occurring over downtown in the 8th and 9th innings. We laughed, we tweeted and we left with some new friends.

(Updated Social Suite pic…afterall, I am the mayor…though I’m wondering if @tribetalk is going to de-invite me again since they lose every game I’ve been to so far…)

In other news: Saturday is looking to be a fabulous day/evening in the CLE. I’m starting the day off going to the Yellowcake Shop Pop-Up Shop in Ohio City. How can you not love Valerie? Her fashion line is fabulous AND she has milk and cupcakes in her pop-up! I highly suggest swinging by and trying on a dress or two, or checking out the newest accessories. Saturday evening I’ll be joining hundreds of other Clevelanders for the Cleveland Art Museum’s Summer Solstice Party. Expect pictures and updates later in the weekend!

This weekend: get out, enjoy the weather, visit some of Cleveland’s locally owned shops (including Yellowcake or Dredgers Union) and have fun!

Disclaimer: via Twitter, I received two tickets to attend the Indians game in the Social Suite with Toohey and Fee of Q104 Cleveland. However, thoughts and opinions are my own and I really do love Toohey and Fee 🙂

  1. I was unaware of the location of the Cow Palace. I’ve learned something today!

It was so great to meet you the other night! The social suite was a lot of fun – I’m looking forward to our next visit next month. I’m crossing my fingers that the mayor is in the house again that night!
