Dark Riding

I think I’ve finally recovered enough to blog about last night’s awesome event at Playhouse SquareThe Dark Ride, presented by Lexus. Again, big thanks to Confessions of a Cohabitant for the tickets. Love fellow Cleveland bloggers.

Stacey and I arrived fashionably late (obvs, could not show up right at 8:30) after parking in my work parking garage (which is so so convenient…and free). The crowd was a wide mix of Clevelanders of all ages. Totally diverse crowd which I loved. The State Theater was transformed with a red carpet, open bar featuring amazing Absolut Vodka drinks including a Brazilian Cosmo which I enjoyed a little too much, a champagne bar and these crazy silent performers.

After some mingling, including with some fabulous Cleveland bloggers (whom are listed on my blog roll) we entered into the State Theater where on stage were more bars, an amazing stage and the new Lexus CT200h. Immediately, seeing that car, my heart was full. I really do plan on owning (well leasing) a Lexus in 2 years and cannot wait. More mingling, more of those Cosmo drinks and after pictures with the Lexus, it was time to dance with 500+ Clevelanders.

Dev took the stage and she blew me away. I had heard a few songs but she was legit. Loved her. And after a brief break, for another Cosmo, it was time for Jay Sean to take the stage. We were able to get up close and personal and I think everyone there had an awesome time dancing with and to Jay Sean.

It was so great to see so many Clevelanders out on a Saturday night downtown. Literally, Downtown has been crazy this past week with St. Patrick’s Day, the NCAA tourney and last night’s Lexus event. I love seeing more and more people out enjoying everything this city has to offer. Can’t wait till next year’s event!
