Spring Me, Please

Last weekend I had the opportunity, post-birthday celebration, to head out to Casa Verde which is just part of the local treasure Petitti’s. I didn’t even know this, but Casa Verde grows approximately 98% of the products sold at the 9 local Petitti’s Garden Centers in Cleveland.

We had the opportunity to tour the space and hear from Angelo Petitti about starting the business, as well as growing it. His story is truly a Cleveland small business success story. The tour of the space was beyond impressive…first of all, I never knew Casa Verde existed, yet alone was as large as it is. Cleveland is lucky to have this in one of our suburban backyards.

Yes, I don’t own a house (yet…working on it) but the thing I love about Petitti’s is that they have plenty of options for inside the home and office. I wrote down approximately 10 things I want to purchase for my house to bring some life inside this Spring, as well as a few items to spruce up my office space.

I’d love to win this … but not for me, for my mom. She’s a teacher and never thinks about the garden at our home until June so we always have to wait for fresh tomatoes until the season is almost over. The gift card would be a great excuse for her to come for a visit (she lives close) and to help her get the yard and mini garden started earlier!

I love Pettiti’s. I go to the Oakwood store annually to buy flowers and hanging pots. I am looking forward to also buying herbs and growing a vegetable garden this year. The yard so far has completed spring clean up and mulched. I am ready for gardening! Can’t wait.

  7. Julie Andolina says:

Last year we didn’t get to do anything to our yard except cut it, and nothing at all with our flower beds. I’ve asked my husband to PLEASE pull up everything in the bed next to our driveway and start over. Start fresh.

I would love to win because I’m about to buy 100 succulents for our wedding favors next month and this sure would come in handy!

  13. I already like Petitti’s on FB

  14. Because I have so many deer in my yard, my gardening is pretty well confined to my deck. I’m getting to plant my herb garden and select some patio perfect veggies.

  15. Pressure washing! Ugh! But also have already hung some baskets of flowers and ready to fill the planters with flowers
