Highly aware that it’s only July, but I’m starting to prepare for The BFF’s big event in September and what am I most concerned about? The speech I have to give? Presenting the award? Standing in front of family and friends and not crying? Of course not. I’m more worried about what I’m going to wear.

I’ve started to look for dresses knowing the following details: the event is in early September, it’s indoors at Windows on the River, it’s a wine and champagne event so the dress will be cocktail and I will need to eventually be on a stage to present the award. An another detail semi-important – I will not need to wear huge heels, as The BFF is only 5’9ish (I say 5’8) and I’ll be taking pictures with him throughout the evening so I don’t want to tower (aw it’ll be just like prom!).
