Sometimes you just need girl time.

Don’t get me wrong, I love The BFF and our conversations but sometimes he’s a little harsh, compared to a good girl friends. Yes, he tells the truth but sometimes the brutal honesty is just that…brutal.

And nothing is better than girl talk over a glass…okay a few glasses….of pinot grigio. I love that my best friend Erin and I can go weeks without talking and then will have a million things to say and laugh over. We’re very similar but also very different and can really balance each other.

Saturday night the conversation took a good turn into making some big decisions and taking big steps. I like having great girl friends who can balance both sides and really understand where you are coming from. Again, LOVE The BFF, but sometimes he doesn’t get it (obviously, sometimes he does and I love that about him too).

It’s interesting me though the difference in conversation between mine and Erin’s and The BFF’s and mine. I could say present the both of them with the exact same scenario, yet they both will have COMPLETELY different opinions. Yes, The BFF has known me longer, but I really do think it comes down to The BFF being a guy, and Erin being female.

Who do you go to for life advice? A same sex best friend? Opposite sex?
