Days later and I’m still on a high from the Justin Timberlake concert. I’ve been to quite a few concerts, especially at The Gund (or the Q) and this one far exceeded my expectations. Obvi, I love JT but he really knows how to put on a show. It’s been a few years since I’ve seen him in concert (and I remember that being a fantastic show) but it was nothing like this concert. I mean 3 hours of JT!? My coworkers heard all morning from me with my JT Countdown (and I had three internal meetings, poor coworkers!)

First things first, we had a group of about 12 girls head over to Hodge’s for pre-show food and cocktails (and the bartenders created a speciality cocktail, Strawberry Bubblegum, just for the show and it was beyond yummy). This group of girls was so much fun to hang out pre-show.

Shaunte and I bought our tickets over six months ago and to be honest, I had no idea what seats I had purchased. But our club seats were a fantastic location and gave us the perfect view of the stage, as well as the floating stage that came over the floor seats. One of the best parts was the people watching – talk about a wide variety of people at a concert. On one side of us we had a couple, in front of us was a group of about 10 that you could tell were up way past their bed time and on the other side were four teenagers who needed to lighten up and have fun. Shaunte and I were not messing around – we danced our asses off and had the best time singing along with JT.

Were you at the show? Favorite songs? I loved all of the “old school” JT songs, but my current faves that he performed were: Drink You Away, Not a Bad Thing, Take Back the Night and of course, Mirrors (the last song of the night and it seemed like everyone in The Q was singing along).
