My Eight Nine Day Bender is officially over. I seriously went out nine days in a row. And while it was a blast, I’m so glad it’s over. I can’t keep up the way I could when I was 21.
Quick recap:
Friday (the 13th) – Birthday Celebration (see previous post here)
Saturday – Rock Hall Induction (again, previous post here)
Sunday – Day Drinking with friends
Monday – Hodge’s Dinner/Drinks, followed by another happy hour in West Park
Tuesday – Drinks with more friends
Wednesday – BvB Happy Hour/Fundraiser
What a fun night! Not only was I able to catch up with some friends, but I was also able to meet IRL some of my favorite bloggers/tweeters which was a blast. I only had a couple beers (which I was very proud of myself for) and called it a kind of early night. Don’t forget to support Team Blonde here!
Thursday – Deagan’s for dinner and drinks (a 2 hour dinner turned into a 4 hour chat session). I hadn’t been to Deagan’s in awhile and I absolutely love that place. Delicious!
Friday – TEDxCLE followed by Manicures, Makeup and Martini’s, and then another trip to Hodge’s.
Manicures, Makeup and Martini’s was a benefit held at Dredger’s Union to help raise money for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Imagine my surprise when one of my favorite bartenders was greeting all the ladies at the door (Yay for seeing Kalf more and more these days!). We had a great time (and those Blueberry Lemonade Martini’s went down a little too easily). After being pampered by Dino Palmari and Sephora, a few girls decided to head over to Hodge’s for a follow-up drink and some snacks. It was wonderful seeing Chris again, as well as his dear sister Catie. She’s adorable!
Saturday – Hop Fest at Beer Engine (unscheduled, but I happily joined…I mean it’s so close).
I really was not going to go out on Saturday. But when Jenny texted me, how could I say no? Another night of laughter and some really funny moments (such as “He looks like the groom from Wedding Crashers mixed with Zac Efron, right?” – the answer was no- and “What an effing cast of characters” referring to our boys.)
Sunday – I have happily caught up on tons of laundry, gone through a pile of mail from the past week, paid a few bills, cleaned the house, napped, read through some magazines and baked some cupcakes for our account team. All in all – not a bad weekend.
I have much much more to write about TEDxCLE and Hodge’s in particular. But overall my “birthday week” was fantastic. It was filled with (too many) drinks, friends (or acquaintances since I haven’t had sleepovers with everyone, right Alana? Ha!), lots of laughter, good girl chats and fabulous food.
You party animal!
That’s the way to celebrate!
