One of the things that I adore about Cleveland is the restaurants and food. We have some of the best, which many people may not realize unless they are out and about in the city often.
And we are days away from one of my most favorite week(s) in Cleveland: Cleveland Restaurant Week. 3 courses, $30. I’ve already started my list of restaurants I must go to within this time frame, including a few of my downtown Cleveland favorites: Greenhouse Tavern and Chinato. Just the thought of both of those restaurants make me hungry.
Speaking of my favorite Cleveland restaurants, one of my favorite Cleveland Chefs (and crush) is Michael Symon: Iron Chef, Owner/Chef of Lola’s, Lolita’s and B Spot in Cleveland. Three of Cleveland’s best. Chef Symon is now on ABC’s “The Chew” (daytime TV show, focusing on food, family and fun). I DVR the show and watch it every evening after dinner. It’s become a must see for me, for a few reasons. The meals they make are easy, affordable and delicious. Second, Chef Symon is also showing his love for C-town. Whether it’s defending our Cleveland Browns or cooking meals that remind him of Cleveland, his love for the city is apparent.
It just brings me back to one of the things I love most about Cleveland: the people. We get it. We love this city. We support the city – no matter what. So during Cleveland Restaurant Week, head out and support some of our best, independent restauranteurs. Show some Cleveland love.
p.s. Will someone go buy me this necklace from Native Cleveland? Pretty Please?!?!
